SHARJAH, 9th April, 2025 (WAM) -- A group of young people from the UAE will be taking part in a special cultural exchange programme in Morocco from 3rd to 13th April 2025.
This initiative is organised by Sharjah Youth and Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, which are part of a larger organisation focused on developing future leaders and innovators.
The group consists of 15 young men and women between the ages of 13 and 18, who will have the opportunity to experience and learn about different cultures during their time in Morocco.
This visit follows the first phase of a programme that took place last year when a group of young people from Morocco visited Sharjah. The goal of this visit is to strengthen the connection between young people from both countries and to help them learn more about each other's cultures. By sharing experiences and knowledge in a friendly environment, the program aims to inspire young people and open their minds to new perspectives.
The programme included visits to various regions in Morocco, including Tangier, Tetouan, Chefchaouen, Rabat, Casablanca, and Asilah. The group toured several youth centers and cultural sites, discovering community projects focused on young people. Some of these initiatives include "Even I Am Cayna," "Walad El Houma," and "Shababi Ra'smali." Through these experiences, they gained insights into Morocco's rich culture and history, as well as inspiring stories about community work and the empowerment of youth and women.
At the beginning of this exciting cultural journey, Abdul Hamid Al Yasi, who leads the group, shared his joy about what the participants have achieved so far. He said, "We are proud of our children taking part in this journey. This amazing experience allows them to learn about inspiring young people in Morocco and discover new cultures. It helps them become more aware of important social issues that affect young people everywhere. Additionally, this journey encourages them to develop leadership skills and a sense of responsibility towards their community. We believe that what they learn will help shape their ability to lead and inspire initiatives that can benefit those around them."
