ABU DHABI, 3rd June, 2025 (WAM) -- On behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State, attended the 10th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) in Monteria, Colombia.
Under the theme "United for Life: Toward a More Sustainable Greater Caribbean," the summit brought together Heads of State and Government of ACS member states, associate members, and observers to build consensus and chart a path forward toward a shared sustainable future for the Greater Caribbean.
The summit also coincided with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the ACS.
On the sidelines of the summit, she met with Ambassador Noemi Espinoza Madrid, eighth Secretary General of the ACS.
During the meeting, the two sides emphasised the value of strengthening cooperation between the UAE and the ACS.
They discussed potential initiatives aimed at driving sustainable tourism, mitigating the risks of global challenges such as climate change, collaborating on digital transformation projects, and increasing people-to-people ties to foster a deeper understanding between the UAE and the Greater Caribbean region.
The meeting reaffirmed the UAE's steadfast commitment to bolstering partnerships across key domains, including economy, trade, culture, and sustainable development.
Al Kaabi's attendance at the summit highlights the growing collaboration between the UAE and Caribbean countries on areas of mutual interest.
Al Kaabi was accompanied by Mohammed Abdullah Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Colombia.
