TOKYO, 2nd June 2025 (WAM) -- Dr. Marwan Obaid Al Muhairi, Member of the UAE Federal National Council (FNC), met with Ken Saito, Chief Secretary, Japan-UAE Parliamentary Friendship Association, in the Japanese Parliament, at the headquarters of the House of Representatives in Japan.
During the meeting, both sides affirmed the depth of parliamentary cooperation between the UAE Federal National Council and the Japanese Parliament and highlighted the growing bilateral relations between the UAE and Japan.
They discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination on various issues of mutual interest in regional and international parliamentary forums, as well as the exchange of expertise, knowledge, and parliamentary practices, in order to enhance the ongoing cooperation and coordination between the two countries across all fields.
Both parties emphasised the importance of activating parliamentary diplomacy tools and promoting constructive parliamentary dialogue, contributing to greater mutual understanding on regional and international issues.
The two sides also discussed potential cooperation in vital sectors, including space, artificial intelligence, aviation, and health, stressing the importance of developing practical projects and partnerships in these areas.
