AL-ARISH, 8th May, 2025 (WAM) -- A Singaporean delegation visited the UAE Floating Hospital in Al-Arish, where they toured its various departments and were briefed on the medical and humanitarian services provided to patients arriving from the Gaza Strip.
During the visit, the delegation met a number of Palestinian patients receiving treatment at the hospital and listened to their experiences regarding the level of healthcare and humanitarian support offered by the Emirati medical teams.
Justin Lee, head of the delegation, expressed his deep admiration for the hospital's management and the efficiency of its staff, praising the quality of healthcare provided.
This visit highlights international cooperation in supporting humanitarian health efforts in affected regions and acknowledges the UAE's significant role in providing medical and relief aid.
A key initiative under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the UAE Floating Hospital launched on 23rd February 2024, offering comprehensive healthcare to those injured in Gaza.
Equipped with 100 beds for patients and 100 for companions, advanced operating rooms, ICUs, radiology, and labs, the hospital has treated over 10,000 Palestinian patients.
This initiative underscores the UAE's humanitarian commitment to assisting affected populations and strengthening global partnerships for urgent relief and medical support during crises.
