DUBAI, 22nd April, 2025 (WAM) -- DOMOTEX Middle East 2025 opened today at Dubai World Trade Centre, reaffirming its position as the region's premier trade platform for the global flooring industry.
The three-day exhibition brings together 100 international exhibitors, highlighting Dubai's growing role as a global hub for design, innovation, and commerce.
The event was inaugurated by Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director-General of Dubai Land Department, who toured the halls and met with industry participants.
Now in its second year since its regional relaunch, the exhibition connects key players from real estate, hospitality, architecture, and retail sectors.
Marwan bin Ghalita said, "Dubai continues to attract international exhibitions that support economic growth and promote global engagement. Events like DOMOTEX Middle East empower industries and reinforce Dubai's position as a hub for innovation and cross-border collaboration."
Exhibitors such as Heritage Carpets, Abu Dhabi National Carpet Factory, Standard Carpet, Tuftco, Nirmal International, and others are showcasing products that merge traditional craftsmanship with modern design and technology.
Sonia Wedell-Castellano, Global Director of DOMOTEX at Deutsche Messe AG, stated, "This year's strong global participation reflects the Middle East's growing influence in shaping the future of the flooring industry. Dubai's strategic location makes it an ideal platform for international collaboration."
Amir Ghanbarinia, Managing Director of Heritage Carpets, added, "DOMOTEX Middle East offers a unique opportunity to connect with buyers who appreciate both heritage and sustainability. Our showcase of Persian handmade carpets, including a museum-quality early 20th-century piece, has been met with great interest. Sustainability remains central to our work as we move towards a zero carbon footprint."
Beyond the exhibits, the event also serves as a hub for networking and industry insights, drawing architects, interior designers, contractors, and government stakeholders exploring new partnerships and innovations in the flooring sector.
DOMOTEX Middle East 2025 runs until 24th April, spotlighting the latest in flooring design and technology, while underlining Dubai's status as a centre for global trade and creative industry leadership.
