TASHKENT, 9th April, 2025 (WAM) -- Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the UAE Parliamentary Division of the Federal National Council (FNC) to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), held separate meetings in Tashkent with senior parliamentary leaders from Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Sweden, Brazil, and Iran.
The meetings took place on the sidelines of the 150th IPU Assembly in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. It included discussions with Nuriddinjon Ismailov, Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan; Oleksandr Korniyenko, Head of the Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the IPU; Julia Kronlid, Head of Sweden's Riksdag delegation; Claudio Cajado Sampaio; Head of Brazil's National Congress delegation; and Hamidreza Haji Babaei, Iran's Deputy Parliament Speaker.
Talks focused on strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation, enhancing dialogue on shared priorities, and aligning parliamentary ties with broader strategic partnerships between the UAE and these nations.
Discussions also addressed the role of parliamentary diplomacy in supporting government agendas and advancing regional and global stability.
The meetings were attended by FNC members.
