MANAMA, June 2 (Xinhua) -- Bahrain announced on Tuesday that its citizens would be banned from travelling to Iran and Iraq until further notice.
According to a press statement by the Bahraini Interior Ministry, the decision was made in light of the continued tensions in the current security situation and the Iranian attacks.
The ministry warned that necessary legal measures would be taken against violators.
Since the United States and Israel launched military strikes against Iran in February, triggering retaliatory actions by Tehran, tensions across the region have continued to escalate and spread, affecting countries including Iraq and the Gulf states.
