TEHRAN, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- The Ground Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Tuesday launched a new round of attacks against "separatist terrorists" in the Kurdistan region of northeastern Iraq.
During the attacks, the IRGC Ground Force targeted the bases of the Kurdistan Freedom Party near Kirkuk with missiles and kamikaze drones, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.
Tuesday's attacks followed IRGC Ground Force's missile and drone strikes on the positions of the Iranian "separatist" groups in the Kurdistan region in the early hours of Monday, Tasnim reported.
During Monday's military operation, the IRGC Ground Force targeted the positions of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan with four missiles and drones in the town of Koy Sanjaq and the Baharka Village in the Kurdistan region, and used drones to attack bases of the Komala Party at two locations near the city of Sulaymaniyah in the same region, according to the report.
Since Nov. 14, the IRGC's Ground Force begun a new round of military operations against "separatist terrorists" in Iraq's Kurdistan region, accusing these groups of having "caused insecurity" in a number of Iranian border cities, according to Tasnim.
