ABU DHABI, 23rd June, 2022 (WAM) -- Muslim Council of Elders under the chairmanship of Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, has expressed solidarity with the Afghan people and the families of the victims and injured, as a result of the devastating earthquake that hit the Khost and Paktika provinces in southeastern Afghanistan.
In a statement, the Council called on the international and regional relief entities to offer assistance to the families of the victims and provide urgent humanitarian and medical aid to ease the suffering of the affected people.
The Council expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this tragic accident, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
